Diggs.. will say this.. We need more people like you.. People who've been in the suck to let people know what's actually going on.. not what they see on the news.. I truly believe that if you want peace you should prepare for war. And I know most people don't like to hear it but it's true. All this "change" that the current administration talked about won't happen if the rest of the world won't change either.. Al Qaeda and the Taliban will continue to bully the people of Afghanistan. Iran will continue to bully the people who speak out against their government. We all know bullies don't "negotiate". They only thing they respond to is force.. you put a bully in his place and he'll fold.
I'm from Louisiana and I'm proud to say I've served in the United States Army. Unlike our current president, I know what actual service to this country actually means.. This nation isn't free because people negotiated it's freedom.. it's because men like us have fought to keep this country safe and free. Freedom was born out of the blood of brave men and women who fought against tyranny and injustice. Who else could help countries like Afghanistan get their freedom except people who have fought and protected that right for over 200 years.
I salute you sir for saying it like it is, and do hope you get elected to Congress. Our country would be would be even greater if more people spoke their mind like you have.

HOOAH.

I really appreciated your upfront candor. I agree. If I lived in CO I would vote for you and help with your campaign. I was in WW II and served as a Red Cross nurse. Later, after college I became a Christian Counselor and worked with men who had been in WW II , the Korean War, Vietnam. I still am helping with recent military and their families. I lost 3 brothers, a nephew and a cousin in WW II, so I know about war. It takes a hard stand to accomplish anything in opposing the enemies we have had, and now do have of we are going to accomplish anything. Naivete and "smooth highly educated talk" will not get the job done.
I was so glad Pres. George W. Bush was our President when the 9-11 attack happened. We would not be free now if we had had the caliber of what we have now in office.
We are proud of our Sen. and Rep. for their firm stand about keeping our country free and "ready". I hope you will be elected and stand strong in Congress as you sound now.

I worked with Diggs Brown in Afghanistan. He was the first guy to pat you on the back after a hard day’s work and the first guy to hand you a cup of coffee in the morning when you woke up. He looks at issues deeper than feel good solutions and knows the tertiary effects of his decisions before he takes decisive action. Diggs’ response to Peace Action West is pure Diggs. No dancing around issues. Ask him a question and he will tell you how he feels about it. If he knows his answer made you uncomfortable, he’ll probably throw in a joke at the end to let you know things are still cool between you. You can’t ask for a better person to lead you, walk beside you or set you straight.

Diggs is Spot ON. Unlike the majority of people in US society today, I have had the opportunity to hear from many soldiers currently serving and those who have returned pretty banged up and are just trying to get back to "normal". They have repeated over and over the very things Diggs Brown have said about foreign countries. Frankly Diggs, I encourage these civilians who do not want the military support to sign a waiver saying we won't waste our military resources when trying to retrieve my battered headless body after having quick conversation face to face with Al Queda. Good Luck with that.

Most civilian organizations simply do NOT have the logistical abilities to move supplies around horrendous destruction the way the military does because in the Civilian Organizations there tend to be way too many CHIEFS and not enough men and women to take the order and make it happen without a 10 hour "No your wrong, my GPS is RIGHT" stupid time wasting conversation. Trust me...I have seen it. When bad news comes to town...I want a team of SF based out of my home. (Besides...those boys can fix anything if allowed to)

Having Diggs in Congress would be an asset to our Country and not another mental deficit to add to the quagmire.

Glad I contributed to his campaign. I think he and Scott Brown would enjoy a beer together. His leadership and tenacity is desparately needed in Washington. Diggs represents change I can believe in.

I don't like it, but it's sobering to read. No one wants war, and it sounds like Diggs Brown does not want war, but he has been there also, and maybe there's something to that for the Peace people to consider. It's one thing to want peace without experiencing war, it's another to have experienced war and peace. I doubt that dedicated peace activists will support this man, but wonder whether they would make more progress for their goals if they did support him over yet another mealy mouthed politico. Either way, good for him for speaking his mind without being rude or hostile.
